Kang Wan-jin (Hongcheon-gun Office), a representative of the Korean Taekwondo Poomsae event,

won the first gold medal for the Korean team at the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games.

Kang Wan-jin, who was named Korea’s first gold medalist, won the championship without any major difficulties.

Kang Wan-jin has recently won the title at every international competition, showing off his fierce momentum and solidifying his status as the ‘signature’ of Korean Poomsae in name and reality.

At the Summer World University Games held in Chengdu, China last July,

Kang Wan-jin took first place in the Poomsae individual event.

She also took the top spot in the men’s division at the Asian Poomsae Championships and the Goyang World Poomsae Championships held last year.
