‘2 Errors’ Doosan – ‘8 Bases Left on Base’ Lotte, Tie After 12 Extra Innings
Professional baseball’s Doosan Bears and Lotte Giants were unable to decide on a win or loss even after 12 extra innings.
Doosan and Lotte drew 3-3 in the professional baseball 2024 Shinhan Bank SOL KBO League match held at Jamsil Stadium in Seoul on the 19th.
Doosan, which was leading, allowed overtime due to two decisive defensive errors,
and Lotte was unable to take advantage of several opportunities to come back and left on eight bases.
After one out in the bottom of the second inning, Doosan took a 2-0 lead with Yang Seok-hwan’s single to the left field line,
Henry Ramos’ triple to right-center, and Kim Ki-yeon’s center hit. 안전놀이터 메이저사이트
Lotte was tied down by Doosan starter Brandon Waddell until the 4th inning,
and then took advantage of Doosan’s error in the 5th inning to chase down a run.
After second baseman Kang Seung-ho caught a ground ball, he sent the batter to second base with a bad throw to first base.
The next batter, Yoo Kang-nam, took advantage of the opportunity with a timely hit to the left side of center field.
Doosan widened the score gap in the 6th inning.
Leadoff hitter Cho Soo-haeng drew a walk and then stole second base, shaking up Lotte bullpen Han Hyun-hee.
Lotte placed Kim Sang-soo as a fireman, but the follow-up hitter, Kang Seung-ho, brought Jo Soo-haeng home with a timely double.
However, Doosan tied the score with another error in the 7th inning.
Shortstop Kim Jae-ho was unable to get Victor Reyes’ ground ball into his glove, allowing the leadoff batter to get on base, and the next batter,
Kim Min-seong, hit Brandon’s fastball at a full count, drawing a two-run arch to left.
In the end, Brandon was unable to secure a victory because he did not receive help from the fielders despite pitching well in 6 innings, allowing 4 hits, 5 strikeouts, and 3 runs (1 earned).
Lotte Lee Min-seok, who appeared for the first time this season, showed potential by allowing 3 hits, 4 strikeouts, and 2 runs (2 earned) in 3⅓ innings,
but was replaced early to protect the player due to a light bruise on his finger.
