Crazy goal conversion rate Hwang Hee-chan Korea has tremendous firepower

Son Heung-min (31, Tottenham Hotspur) and Hwang Hee-chan (27, Wolverhampton Wanderers).

Two Korean strikers are conquering the Premier League (PL) stage.

Soccer statistics media ‘Squawka’ paid attention to the hot scoring streak of PL Korean strikers through social media on the 6th (Korean time).

The media listed this season’s PL scoring rankings and exclaimed, “Korea has truly serious firepower.”

With the 15th round in progress, two Korean players are among the top PL scorers.

Last season’s top scorer, Erling Holland (14 goals, Manchester City), is leading, while Mohamed Salah (10 goals, Liverpool) is in second place.

After them were Son Heung-min (9 goals) and Hwang Hee-chan (8 goals).

The player following Salah closely is Son Heung-min, captain of the South Korean national team.

He scored 10 league goals last season and made a complete comeback by scoring 9 goals in 14 games.

Son Heung-min is showing off his sharp decision-making skills this season. With the captain’s armband on his arm, he has completed his transformation into a central striker.

Captain’ Son Heung-min is perfectly filling the void left by Harry Kane, who left for Bayern Munich.

This is an even more surprising performance compared to last season.

Son Heung-min suffered from sports hernia and orbital fracture surgery in the 2022-2023 season, and under coach Antonio Conte, he took on an excessive defensive burden and moved away from the goal. Due to his defensive tactics, he often played like a central midfielder.

The result was 10 goals and 6 assists in the league and 14 goals and 6 assists in official games.

It might have been a ‘career high’ for any other player, but it was a somewhat disappointing performance for Son Heung-min

who was the top scorer in the league the previous season with 23 goals and 7 assists.

But this season is different. It appears that he has returned to the ‘Sony everyone knows’. Son Heung-min is showing off his sharp decision-making skills after transforming into a central striker under coach Angie Postekoglou. He is already ranked 3rd in PL scoring with 9 league goals and 2 assists.

His biggest secret is his lethal finish. According to soccer statistics media ‘Under Stats’,

Son Heung-min scored 9 goals in the league this season despite recording an expected score (xG) of 5.23 goals. A whopping 3.77 more goals were scored than expected by the statistical system.

This is the highest figure in the PL this season. Holland, the top scorer, has an xG value of 15.73 goals, which is higher than his actual score of 14 goals.

Salah also has only a 0.31 goal difference between his xG value (9.31) and his actual score.

Son Heung-min is the only player in the top 10 scorers who scored more than 3 goals than his xG value.

Son Heung-min is now on the verge of scoring double-digit scores in the Premier League for the eighth consecutive season.

After warming up by scoring the first goal against Manchester City, he will attempt to score his 10th league goal against West Ham on the 8th.

The player who is chasing Son Heung-min by one goal is ‘Korean Guy’ Hwang Hee-chan.

He is playing healthy without injury and is having his best season since joining Wolverhampton in the summer of 2021. 바카라사이트닷컴

Hwang Hee-chan played as a ‘super joker’ at the beginning of the season

but quickly took over the starting position with his outstanding performance.

Newly appointed coach Gary O’Neill also has faith in him.

Hwang Hee-chan has already started 11 consecutive league games, including the game against Burnley held on the 6th.

Even against Burnley, Hwang Hee-chan’s toes showed no signs of cooling down.

He scored the first goal in the 42nd minute of the first half after receiving a pass from the right side of the box.

He calmly faked once, stole the goalkeeper’s timing, and then pierced the corner of the goal with an accurate shot.

It was Hwang Hee-chan’s 8th goal in the league and 9th goal of the season.

He continued his strong performance at home by scoring again at Molineux Stadium.

Of the nine goals he scored this season, six were scored in home games.

The PL double-digit attack points have already been achieved. With this score, Hwang Hee-chan scored 8 goals and 2 assists in the league.

He was also tied for 4th place on the scoring leaderboard along with Ollie Watkins (Villa) and Jarrod Bowen (West Ham).

The official MOM (Man of the match) naturally belonged to Hwang Hee-chan.

After the game, the PL website announced that he overwhelmingly took first place in the fan vote, receiving a whopping 83.5% of the votes.

He beat Wolverhampton’s goalkeeper Bentley (6.4%), who ranked second, by a margin of about 80%.

Director Gary O’Neill also did not spare praise. He said in his post-match interview: “Hwang Hee-chan’s numbers are really unbelievably impressive. Everything about him is impressive. Can he continue this momentum for the rest of the season? I hope so. If the team continues to maintain their form, it will be possible. “He said.

Coach O’Neill continued, “When the ball goes to Hwang Hee-chan in the penalty box, I have a good feeling that he will be in the right position. He is never lucky to score so many goals. He has completely accepted what we are trying to do. He has been in a good position time and time again. “We run and run again. 8 goals is a truly amazing result,” he added.

Michael Owen, a former Ballon d’Or winner, was also impressed by Hwang Hee-chan’s decisiveness. Appearing on ‘Amazon Prime Sports’, he watched Hwang Hee-chan’s score and emphasized, “(If you kick early), it will be blocked. That moment of delay is what opens the corner of the goal.”

Owen then praised, “I love this boy (Hwang Hee-chan) in front of the goal. He is always in the right position and rarely misses an opportunity. This scene was a big opportunity, and Hwang Hee-chan accepted the opportunity really well.”

In fact, Hwang Hee-chan is showing off incredible accuracy this season. He recorded 9 effective shots in the PL and led to 8 of them as goals. Effective shooting scoring conversion rate of 89%. In effect, this means that if you just kick it into the goal, the opposing goalkeeper cannot stop it. The simple scoring conversion rate is also crazy at 32%, with 8 goals on 25 shots.

The score compared to xG value is also at the top of the PL. Hwang Hee-chan’s xG value is only 5.14 goals, but he scored a whopping 8 goals. His excellent decision-making ability resulted in 2.86 more goals. This is a huge figure, ranking second in the top 10 scorers after Son Heung-min, and even if the target is expanded to the entire PL, he ranks third overall after Son Heung-min and Evan Ferguson (Brighton, +3.28 goals).
