South Korea’s national soccer team ace and captain Son Heung-min (Tottenham) returned to training a day ahead of the
Tunisia match, raising his chances of playing. Son Heung-min himself said, “I’m feeling better and better,” and predicted his appearance.
Son Heung-min attended the pre-match press conference at Paju NFC on the 12th as a representative of the Korean
national team and said, “The players had a good experience against England in September. “We’re happy to come to Korea
with the first win we expected,” he said, adding, “This A match is the last time we can prepare for the 2026 World Cup
qualifiers, which start in November. Regardless of the opponent, we will be focused and show our fans a winning streak.”

After feeling discomfort in his medial thigh during a match for his club, Son Heung-min has been cycling and running since his first day with Paju NFC on Sept. 9.
A day before the match, Son said, “I know that many people are worried. I will participate in training today,” and “I plan t
o check my physical condition through training. My physical condition is improving.”
Prior to his call-up to the squad, Son was in fine form, scoring six goals in four league games in September. He is also
currently second in the English Premier League (EPL) in goals scored. Some believe he could win his second top scorer title.

Son Heung-min, the captain of the South Korean team, was also quick to praise his younger siblings, who won gold at the Asian Games on July 7.
