The KOVO 2024 Men’s Foreign Player Tryouts, organized by the Korea Volleyball Organization (KOVO), will be held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, from September 9-11, following the Women’s event.
This year, a total of 106 new players have applied for the tryouts, and the top 39 players evaluated by clubs will attend the Dubai tryouts. An additional 44 players, including five players who played in the V-League in the 23-24 season, 스포츠토토존 will be selected by the clubs.
Leo, who was the regular season MVP for OK Financial Group this season, and Maxim, who joined the V-League to help Korean Air win the championship, will be joined by Artem, Josvani, and Bijena, as well as newcomers such as Poland’s Kristian Walczak (OP, 23, 212 cm), who was highly anticipated in the preliminary preference survey.
The order of the roster spots will be determined by lottery after awarding 35 marbles to seventh-ranked KB Insurance, 30 to sixth-ranked Samsung Fire, 25 to fifth-ranked KEPCO, 20 to fourth-ranked Hyundai Capital, 15 to third-ranked Woori Card, 10 to second-ranked OK Financial Group and five to first-ranked Korean Air.
The men’s foreign player tryouts will begin on Day 1 with a medical test and scrimmage for invited players, followed by a head coaches’ meeting and scrimmage on Day 2, Day 10, and finally a scrimmage and draft on Day 3, Day 11, to determine the foreign players who will grace the V-League next season. The draft is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. local time in Dubai, 8 p.m. ET.
