Klinsmann’s men look to extend their A-match winning streak against Tunisia

The South Korean national soccer team, led by Jürgen Klinsmann, will host Tunisia at the Seoul World Cup Stadium on Oct. 13 at 8 p.m. in the first of two October friendlies.

After a winless start to his tenure with three draws and two losses in five matches, Klinsmann’s side bounced back with a

1-0 victory over Saudi Arabia in September and will be looking for their first back-to-back wins against Tunisia.

The team will then face Vietnam at the Suwon World Cup Stadium on Sunday.

Klinsmann’s side, who are aiming to win the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Asian Cup in Qatar next January, will

begin their preparations for the tournament with a two-game series in October.

Tunisia

A North African country classified as an Arab nation, will serve as a stage to prepare for the Middle Eastern nations they will face in the Asian Cup.

Vietnam, ranked 95th in the FIFA rankings, is a test for the Asian Cup against weaker teams that will play tight defense.

To get back-to-back wins against Tunisia, Klinsmann called up a full squad, including international stars Son Heung-min

(Tottenham) and Kim Min-jae (Bayern Munich).

In June, Son and Kim were unavailable due to injury and basic military training, respectively, and in September, Lee Kang-

in (Paris Saint-Germain-PSG) was unavailable due to injury.

Despite the ‘overwork controversy’ of captain Son Heung-min, Klinsmann said at a press conference on Sept. 9 that he

understands the fatigue of overseas players and will utilize it.

He also added that he will give Lee Kang-in, who just returned from winning a gold medal at the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games, plenty of time.

For Klinsmann

The two October A matches are important for both results and content.

He has faced criticism for not honoring his promise to stay in Korea and for his frequent travels and foreign broadcast

appearances, and a poor result in these trials could add to the noise ahead of the Asian Cup.

In addition, the team is scheduled to face Tunisia and weak Vietnam, 카지노사이트랭크 which are unfamiliar to

Korean soccer fans, so even if the team gets a result, it will be difficult to silence criticism if the content is poor.

On the flip side, a three-match winning streak in A-Match, coupled with convincing wins over Tunisia and Vietnam, could turn some heads for Klinsmann.

Tunisia qualified for the World Cup in Qatar last year, but were eliminated after a 1-1 draw. However, they showed their

mettle in the group stage with a 1-0 victory over the favorites, France. They are actually ranked 29th in the FIFA rankings, similar to South Korea (26th).

Head coach Jalal Khadiri

Has been at the helm since the World Cup, so the team is well organized.

Notable players include captain Yousif Masakini (Al Ahrabi), who has 20 international goals, and midfielder Yas Shahiri,

who plays for Eintracht Frankfurt in the German Bundesliga.

South Korea trails the all-time series 1-1. They drew 0-0 away in 2002 and lost 0-1 at home in Seoul in 2014.

Tunisia, meanwhile, will travel to Japan to take on the Japan National Team on Sept. 17 after their exhibition match against South Korea. 고스톱
