Woo-sung expressed his feelings on welcoming his daughter

Lee Woo-sung (30), an outfielder for the Kia Tigers of the Korean Baseball Organization (KBO), expressed his feelings on welcoming his daughter, Baba, into the ranks of idiots.

“I was so nervous because it was my first child, but I want to say thank you to my wife for giving birth to a healthy child and thank you for your hard work”.

Lee’s wife, Ok Hye-kyung, gave birth to a baby girl weighing 3.45 kilograms at Suwan W Women’s Hospital in Gwangju on July 7 at 12:55 p.m. Both mother and child are healthy.

The couple, who married in 2022 and welcomed their first child, have named her Rio, after Lee’s No. 25 jersey number, and have yet to name her.

“I was very nervous because it was my first child, but I want to say thank you to my wife for giving birth to a healthy child and thank you for all the hard work,” Lee said.

“I am grateful to the manager and the club for allowing me to stay by my wife’s side, and I promise to return to the field and be a good father and husband to my family,” Lee said.

As of June 6, Lee is batting .860 with eight home runs, 38 RBIs, 43 runs scored, five stolen bases and an OPS of .860 in 58 games (210-for-66).
