‘Goals in 3 consecutive games’ Chungnam Asan’s Park Dae-hoon

Park Dae-hoon, who returned to the professional stage after a five-year absence, said he gained a lot of confidence from his K4 League experience.

Chungnam Asan FC, led by Park Dong-hyuk, won 2-0 against Cheonan City FC in the 37th round of the Hana OneQ K League 2 2023 at the Asan Yi Sun-sin Sports Complex in Asan, Chungcheongnam-do at 4 p.m. on Aug. 28. Park Dae-hoon scored the first goal in the 15th minute and Kang Min-kyu added a second goal in the sixth minute of the second half to defeat the scoreless Cheonan.

“It was our last home game of the season, and it was good to win 2-0,” said Park Dae-hoon at the post-match press conference.

The goal early in the first half gave Chungnam Asan a somewhat comfortable lead. Park Dae-hoon recalled the goal: “The ball came to Joo Sung-jin from the center, and I told him to make a pass like that before the game. Our eyes met and I was able to give him a good pass, which he converted into a goal.”

Although he played well with one goal and one assist, he was disappointed to miss a penalty kick at the end of the game. The original penalty kicker was Song Seung-min, but Coach Park explained that he entrusted Park Dae-hoon to take the kick to give him confidence.

“My teammates and the coach believed in me and gave me a chance, but I felt sorry for my teammates, and I’m grateful that they worked hard and blocked it to the end,” Park said. “Seung-min didn’t say anything. He just jokingly asked me if I couldn’t put it in,” he laughed.

Coach Park Dong-hyuk evaluated Park Dae-hoon, saying, “I thought Yoo Kang-hyun was going to come out.” “I had injuries this season, and if I hadn’t, I could have repaid the faith with a performance like this,” Park said. “It’s a shame, but I’m glad the team was able to win.

Park Dae-hoon has been struggling with injuries since the beginning of the season. He initially aimed for 10 goals, but his body didn’t cooperate. “I don’t think I could have done it if I hadn’t been injured,” he said.

Park made his professional debut with Daejeon Citizen (now Daejeon Hana Citizen), but was unable to extend his contract. He went on to play for Cheonan City Hall and Chungju City Football Club before joining Chungnam Asan this year. It was his first professional appearance in five years.

“I was in the K4 League while serving in the military,” he says. I scored a lot of goals and gained confidence, and I think that helped me,” he said.

He had a good performance on the day, but he also missed a great chance to score on one occasion. In the 45th minute, he beat the keeper but couldn’t 안전놀이터 find the angle for a shot, so he slid it to Kang Min-gyu, who was following him. The pass went wide.

Park Dae-hoon said, “Min-gyu came running and asked for it, so I thought it would be easy to put it in. It was a missed pass and a counterattack. It would have been better to finish,” he said. “After the first half, the coach said to Min-kyu, ‘In that situation, it’s better to come out and go in. Let’s do that next time,’” he said.
