“In August, I will prepare to receive it more firmly.”
July’s Most Valuable Player (MVP) Noh Si-hwan, 23, laughed as he said that he felt his July performance was not good enough and vowed to do better.
Noh won the award with a total of 37.24 points in the July MVP voting results announced by the Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) on Monday. 토토사이트 It’s his first award since his debut, and the first for a Hanwha player since Jung Woo-ram in May 2018.
In July, Noh hit six home runs with a .649 on-base percentage, a .423 slugging percentage, and 14 RBIs. He outperformed the likes of KT Wiz’s Young-pyo Ko and Wes Benjamin, as well as NC Dinos’ Jason Martin.
“I had a lot of home runs, but I didn’t think my performance was that outstanding, so I didn’t think I could get it,” Noh said before the Suwon KT game on Sept. 9. “When I woke up, I got a lot of calls, and I saw that I got (the MVP), and I thought, ‘Why did I get it?’” he laughed.
While Noh received just four of 26 votes (15.4 percent) in the journalists’ poll, he blew away the competition in the fan vote, receiving more than a majority of 266,928 votes (59.1 percent).
“I heard that the fans were very supportive,” said Noh, “and I think that’s because they like home runs and have a desire for home run hitters, so I think they appreciated that part.”
“If it weren’t for the fans, I wouldn’t have won,” he said, adding, “I’m thinking of giving back to the fans with coffee or something.”
“There were a lot of competitors who did better than me. In August, I want to make sure that I get it once more,” he smiled.
Noh currently leads the league in this category with 23 home runs. At this point, it’s easy to get a little greedy for the home run title.
But Noh shook his head. 스포츠토토 “Of course, it’s not that I’m not conscious of it as we’re heading towards the end of the season,” he said, “but I’m trying not to think about it too much because I’ve got the Asian Games in the middle of it. I just want to focus on winning every game.”
Noh Si-hwan, who has grown into one of the biggest names in the team and the league after a poor season last year, said he also feels the pressure from opposing teams.
He said, “I’m getting more pitches than good ones,” and added, “I have to wait calmly and not be fooled by such things, but I’m greedy. If I take care of that, I think I can finish the season with growth.”
However, he also expressed confidence that he will not be afraid of striking out.
“Last season, I didn’t hit too many home runs, so it became a failed season,” Noh said. “This year, even if I strike out, I will be conscious of the long ball. 스포츠토토맨 That will be the direction I need to go as a baseball player,” he emphasized.
